In the heartwarming family comedy, 'Headed South for Christmas', we follow the story of MACKENZIE, a headstrong 14-year-old girl (Abby Corrigan), grappling with the absence of a mother she never knew, lost during her birth. Her father Ash (David Garrett), a man of strength and immense love for his family, decides to embark on a journey with her to the eccentric little town of McClellan in South Georgia. Their destination is the home of his sister Sally (Mandi Christine Kerr), a place Mackenzie hasn't visited since her early childhood. For Mackenzie, the trip is a reluctant one, leaving the familiar hubbub of Atlanta to spend Christmas in a town she barely remembers, with relatives she barely knows. His infectious excitement about the town's traditional Duck Days Festival, a week-long Christmas celebration, and the impending visit from Santa, is a stark contrast to Mackenzie's apathetic attitude. During the festival, Mackenzie and Tyler get the chance to meet Santa, not at his usual post, but in an unexpected encounter at a local café. Overwhelmed by his presence, Tyler entrusts Mackenzie to deliver his wish-list to Santa.
