Plot

At the tender age of 23, Ditch is an old soul lost in a digital world. He's a virgin and a confirmed technophobe, spending his days transporting yesterday's news to the dump in his dilapidated van while the sounds of nostalgic cassettes echo from his battered Walkman. His diligent mother, Barbara, sees potential in him that he struggles to recognize. Providing a semblance of guidance is Boomer Knudsten, their upstairs tenant and a washed-up jazz drummer stuck in the rhythm of the '60s, his mind echoing with melodies from a bygone era. But when Knudsten’s life unexpectedly ends with a thud on their floor, another intriguing character enters Ditch's life. Debs, a mysterious and alluring stranger, arrives in the neighborhood. Clad in her worn-out clothes with nothing but a nerve-jangling cell phone and a closely-guarded laptop, Debs exudes an air of unease. Barbara, whether propelled by a motherly sixth sense or plain jealousy, watches anxiously as Debs weaves herself into Ditch's life. What follows is a profound journey for the young pair, a hard drive down a winding road of self-discovery, comprehension, and an awakening of love. Their travels are punctuated by the rhythm of life's uncertainties and the harmony of unexplored emotions, painting a vivid picture of their intertwined destinies.
