Happy Anniversary (1959)

In the heart of New York City's Gramercy Park, lawyer Chris Walters and his beloved wife Alice, celebrate their thirteenth year of marital harmony. They are the proud parents of two children, Ockie and Debbie. Amid the anniversary celebrations, on a whim, Chris and Alice decide to rekindle the flames of a romantic escapade from their past. Their blissful existence, however, is marred by a single point of discord – the presence of a television set, which Chris firmly believes will disrupt the familial tranquility. Their serene world takes an unexpected tumble when, firstly, Alice's parents gift them a television set, challenging Chris's long-held apprehensions, and secondly, a tipsy Chris, in the throes of their anniversary celebration, inadvertently spills a secret to Alice's parents - a secret that for fourteen years had been a shared confidence between him and Alice. These incidents ignite a fiery disagreement between the couple. As the storm clouds of discord gather over the Walters' household, their young daughter Debbie fears the worst – a potential divorce. However, it isn't the whispered possibility of a separation that causes the most strife. The real turmoil stems from the manner in which the truth is unveiled. Amid the chaos of shattered TV screens and inflamed tempers, their once blissful marriage teeters on the edge of an abyss. Will their love story weather this storm, or will their thirteenth anniversary mark the start of their undoing?
