Guns of Hate (1948)

In the dusty trails leading to Rimrock, wanderers Bob Banning and Chito Rafferty cross paths with an elderly prospector, Ben Jason, marooned by a broken-down wagon. In exchange for their assistance, Jason bestows upon them a glistening nugget, a token of gratitude and a request to deliver news of his impending arrival to his niece, Judy, in Rimrock. Unknowingly stepping into a web of greed and deception, they sell the nugget to Matt Wyatt, the local assayer. Wyatt, with a gleam of recognition in his eyes, identifies the nugget as originating from the legendary "Lost Dutchman" mine. A treacherous plot takes root in his mind, and he conspires with the ruthless gambler, Anse Morgan and his henchman, Rocky, to seize the mine for themselves. The villains ambush Jason, their murderous intent realized, and steal his precious map. Banning and Rafferty, driven by a quest for justice, arrive too late to save Jason. However, their arrival at the crime scene is ill-timed, leading the sheriff to mistake them for the killers. This deception extends to Judy, who now views them as her uncle's murderers. Wrongly imprisoned, Banning and Rafferty must engineer a daring escape from jail. Shrouded under the weight of false allegations, they must weave their way through a maze of treachery and deceit, unmask the true villains, and restore their tarnished reputation.
