In the thick of 1940, the Romanian Iron Guard is bestowed with a golden Luger handgun, a sinister gift from Himmler of the SS, ensnared with an ancient spell. Fast forward to contemporary Bucharest, where the gun resurfaces among the possessions of Loredana Anescu's dying grandfather. Unbeknownst to Loredana, this artifact has been long sought after by Damian Lupescu, the proprietor of Archangel Electronics, who yearns to exploit its dark power to resurrect fascism across Europe via the conduit of advanced technology. When Loredana inadvertently hands over the Luger to Irish nightclub owner Axel O'Rourke, who moonlights as a cigarette smuggler between Bucharest and London, the stage is set for a thrilling chase. Lupescu, learning about the Luger's discovery, relentlessly pursues Loredana, culminating in a showdown that leaves Axel battered and Loredana and the mystical Luger in Lupescu's possession.
