Plot
Under the hazy glow of a typical night, Rannie and her friends, including the vivacious Ingrid, find themselves in need of some pot. They coax Rannie into reaching out to her reclusive cousin, Nicholas, a twenty-something photographer grappling with grief after losing his girlfriend, Jamie, in a sudden car accident. Despite his social inhibitions, Nicholas and Ingrid strike up a stimulating conversation that unexpectedly spirals into a passionate, spur-of-the-moment tryst.
Ingrid, undaunted by the impromptu intimacy, proposes a clandestine 'no-strings-attached' relationship, a suggestion Nicholas hesitantly embraces. As their relationship unfurls in secret, viewers get a glimpse into the shadows of their pasts and present. Nicholas is haunted by the memory of Jamie, a love he had stolen from his friend, and the guilt of her tragic demise. Simultaneously, Ingrid's frenzied, ecstasy-laced lifestyle threatens to disrupt the delicate balance they've established.
"Green Eyes" is a poignant exploration of young adults at the crossroads of their personal trials, past transgressions, and perilous habits. The narrative weaves through the complexities of their self-destructive behaviors as they attempt to navigate this clandestine relationship. Their bond, stitched together by sex, drugs, and the relentless echoes of past mistakes, gradually begins to unravel, painting a compelling portrayal of love, loss, and redemption.
