Plot

In the desolate heart of a lonely diner, Nora Mae Edwards serves her weary customers, haunted by nightmares that stain her nights with terror. Life offers her a chilling twist when the enigmatic undertaker, John Henry Cox, wanders into her life. Intrigued by her solitude, he proposes marriage within their first encounter. Amid the whirlwind romance, Nora finds herself spirited away to Newbury, the undertaker's eerie hometown, where she marries him within the chilling walls of his funeral home, presided over by Rev. Collins. As Nora is introduced to the town's inhabitants, including the stern Sheriff Porter and the mysterious Emmaline Strickland, she begins to feel an unsettling chill creeping into her new life. The untimely death of the vivacious Cicely Matthews in a tragic car accident shatters Nora's unsettling peace. Her curiosity leads her to the mortuary, where she stumbles upon a macabre revelation — her husband and his friends' unsettling fascination with the deceased. Nora's vivid dreams blur with reality, leaving her uncertain whether her discoveries are mere figments of her tormented mind or the horrifying truth. But when Cicely's aggrieved brother, Evan Matthews, crosses her path, he unearths the bone-chilling secret thriving in Newbury's shadow, forcing Nora to confront the dreadful reality. As Nora realises she might be the next entrant in her husband's deadly collection, she must summon every ounce of courage and cleverness to escape her looming fate. The former waitress must now outrun the town that craves the beauty of the dead, trapped in a race against time and death. Graverobbers is a chilling tale of a woman's fight for survival in a world that prefers its women lifeless.
