Plot

Destined for a life of corporate luxury, Higashigaito Yutaka finds himself transferred to the Bangkok branch of Eastern Airlines, a stepping stone to becoming CEO through his impending marriage to Michiko, the airline founder's kin. Love remains a stranger to Yutaka in this union of convenience, setting the stage for an unexpected twist in his life's narrative. In the vibrant heart of Bangkok, Yutaka's path intertwines with Touko's at a local bar. A magnetic pull draws him towards her, igniting an intense relationship that burns brighter as his wedding day looms closer. Torn between duty and desire, Yutaka eventually musters the courage to end his secret affair, shattering Touko's heart as he calls Michiko to break up in her presence. Touko, her spirit bruised, departs for New York the next day, leaving Yutaka to face the consequences of his decisions. He reunites with Michiko in Thailand, and they solemnly proceed towards their planned future, a life together as husband and wife. A quarter of a century later, Yutaka and Michiko, now parents to two sons, portray a picture of familial bliss. Yet, the ghost of Touko's memory continues to haunt Yutaka. On a business trip to Bangkok, he returns to the Oriental Hotel, their old sanctuary, only to discover Touko managing VIP guests. A spark reignites between them, revealing an undying love that time and distance failed to extinguish. But the relentless grip of reality pulls them apart once more, leaving Yutaka and Touko caught in the poignant dance between a haunting past and an unyielding present.
