Baptiste, a lone wolf and a schoolteacher in the sun-drenched south of France, lives an ephemeral life, never anchoring himself to one place or job for more than three weeks. His nomadic existence takes an unexpected turn one Friday when he's left caring for Mathias, a student uncollected after school. Their path leads them to Sandra, Mathias's mother, a woman of striking beauty with a dynamic past, now eking out a living on the Montpellier beaches. A sudden kinship blooms between the trio, a semblance of a family they've each been lacking. But this newfound harmony is fleeting. Looming over them is a threatening debt Sandra owes, a ticking time-bomb that could explode into disaster if left unpaid. Sandra's safety hinges on her ability to escape, to once again become a fugitive. To protect Sandra and Mathias, Baptiste must delve into the shadows of his own past, unearthing painful secrets that he's long kept buried.
