Godspeed (2016)

In the heart of Taiwan's underbelly, Na Dow navigates the perilous world of drug trafficking. His well-rehearsed routine involves a cab ride down south, delivering narcotics, and returning back the same day. Fate, however, throws him a curveball in the form of a dilapidated taxi driven by Xu, an innocent soul who migrated to Taiwan over two decades ago and mysteriously chose to stay. Despite his initial reluctance, Na Dow finds himself entangled in Xu's simple, carefree existence. As Na Dow wrestles with his longing for redemption, and Xu clings to his peaceful existence, their lives are thrust into chaos when they become targets of a vicious mob. In a cruel twist of fate, the drugs disappear, the money vanishes, and the unlikely duo find themselves as helpless hostages, trapped in the claustrophobic confines of a car trunk. Their dreams of reform and tranquility are replaced by a desperate fight for survival, marking a dark detour in their intertwined destinies.
