Donald Koch, a man of many names including "Don", "King Don", and "Tiger", takes a leap of faith, leaving the bustling life of Chicago for the tranquil suburbs. He is motivated by the imminent arrival of his first child, a responsibility that he and his pregnant wife, Liz, decide is best nurtured in a quieter setting. The couple purchases an old house, a structure seeping with history and mystery, and Don, currently unemployed, arrives first with their loyal dog Cooper to begin renovations. As Don delves deeper into the home's transformation, he learns from a neighbor, Ellie Mueller, a chilling fact - their prospective family home was once a bustling brothel. This revelation is soon followed by an encounter with a seductive neighbor, Sarah Yates. Succumbing to temptation, Don finds himself entwined in a brief, passionate affair with Sarah within the very walls he aims to restore. Realizing the magnitude of his mistake, he tries to sever ties, asking Sarah to stay away. But the house, echoing with its sordid past, has other plans.
