In the heart of Kerala, George Kutty (Jayaram), a diligent engineering student who's emerged from college with top honors, grapples with his once affluent family's crippling debt. His father, desperate to alleviate this financial burden, aligns with Chandi (Jagathi), a crafty marriage broker. The proposition: a matrimonial alliance for George Kutty with a wealthy family, albeit under the pretense of a slightly embellished economic status.
