Plot

In the dim-lit world of late-night television, Conrad Ragzoff, the last of the genuine horror film icons, is condemned to a life of impersonating vampires for commercial slots. An unsuspecting heart attack strikes him down during an award ceremony at a local student film society, marking the sudden end of a revered figure in horror cinema. In an unconventional display of respect and adoration, a group of his most dedicated fans, drama students with a unique appreciation for the macabre, plot a daring heist. Their intention: to steal Ragzoff's newly interned corpse from the mortuary for a farewell party unlike any other. However, as the tomb is violated and the party with the lifeless body of their idol commences, they unwittingly unleash a potent force of black magic. As the night descends into shadows, Conrad Ragzoff isn't as lifeless as they'd assumed. Rising from the grave, the once famed actor becomes a palpable embodiment of the very vampires he used to imitate. Thirsty for vengeance against those who disturbed his eternal rest, he becomes an unstoppable terror. The drama students soon find themselves trapped in a chilling nightmare, questioning if their beloved Conrad will spare the lives of his most loyal followers. The thrilling plot of Frightmare unravels a tale of fandom gone awry, blurring the lines between homage and horror, reverence and revenge.
