Plot

In the heart of Staten Island, two devoted lesbian parents, Shareen and Claire, nurture their five-year-old daughter Honey in their unconventional home, a repurposed garage. Shareen, a scavenger by trade, navigates the city in her pickup truck, while Claire serves patrons at the trendy Naga Saki restaurant in Manhattan, unknowingly entangled in a sinister global exchange of industrial waste through tainted sushi. As the world's ports reject a spectral barge loaded with radioactive waste, strange occurrences begin to unfold: household pets emit an eerie glow before vanishing, and people begin uttering in incomprehensible languages. The situation spirals out of control when Honey mysteriously disappears and a multinational corporation is found at the heart of the chaos. In this surreal reality, a band of determined New Yorkers join forces with activists from the third world in an unprecedented alliance, ready to strike back. Fresh Kill offers a unique blend of domesticity and global conspiracy, shrouded in a mystery that only the daring can unravel.
