Plot

This Christmas, Franklin the turtle and his little sister Harriet venture to their mother's childhood home, Faraway Farm, leaving their familiar Woodland behind. However, the journey begins with a twist as Franklin is shaken to discover that his beloved toy, Sam, has been left behind - a mishap that Harriet innocently triggers. Thus unfolds Franklin's journey of embracing his role as an older brother amidst the tensions and trials it brings. Unexpectedly, Faraway Farm is gripped by a sudden ice storm, crippling the power and severing the telephone lines. Compelled by concern for their elderly neighbors, the Collies, Franklin's parents brave the storm, leaving the young turtles behind. Tragedy strikes when Grandpa takes a severe fall, leaving Grandma fretting over getting him medical help. It's in this moment of crisis that Franklin hatches a plan: if he can somehow bring Dr. Bear to Faraway Farm, his ailing grandfather will be saved. This sparks a magical adventure, with the unknowing Harriet as a stowaway, as they embark on an urgent journey back to Woodland. Aided by a band of special friends, Franklin races against time on his rescue mission. Their triumphant return to Faraway Farm with Dr. Bear not only saves Grandpa's day but also paves the way for a magical Christmas Eve. This festive tale ends on a heartwarming note as Franklin discovers that having a little sister like Harriet, despite all the challenges, isn't all that bad after all.
