Plot

When we first encounter David Frank, he is a shell of his former successful self, his spirit eroded by the death of his wife. Cloaked in his bathrobe, he spends his days with Brutus, his steadfast canine companion, in the rubble of his once joyous existence. Fate delivers an additional blow when a monstrous tornado, like a scene ripped from a nightmarish Wizard of Oz, obliterates his house, sucking up everything in its path, including Brutus. The calamity is deemed an 'Act of God' by his insurance company, who refuse to foot the bill, leaving David seething. In a blend of fury and inspiration, David, an ex-hotshot lawyer, embarks on a daring and unprecedented legal venture: to sue God and His earthly representatives. Through a series of absurd yet deeply affecting depositions, David sets the stage for the trial of the millennium, the "God Trial". With a courtroom bursting with a megalomaniac judge, a stunning yet emotionally scarred defense attorney, and David's own razor-sharp legal acumen, the trial ignites a whirlwind of intense emotions and public frenzy. Driven initially by vengeance, David's audacious legal gamble evolves into a soul-searching journey. Frank vs. God is more than a courtroom drama; it's a man's quest to reconcile with the forces that have upended his life. The trial that started as a radical stunt transforms into a profound exploration of faith, grief, and the human spirit, compelling viewers to question their own beliefs and the nature of divinity.
