In the heart of the Amazon, a covert operation is born from the ashes of conflict between native tribes and a U.S. petroleum facility. Spearheaded by the hardened Colonel Ezekial (Rutger Hauer), a swarm of genetically modified killer bees becomes the chilling instrument of tribal eradication. Amidst the chaos, intrepid reporter Ann Bauer (Gabrielle Anwar) endures a bee sting but miraculously survives, thanks to an enigmatic intervention. As the venom courses through her veins, Dr. Stephen North (David Naughton) discovers its extraordinary healing properties, setting off a race against time. He smuggles the deadly bee onto a flight bound for New York City, where a catastrophic chain of events awaits. Onboard the flight, Ann, her estranged husband Martin (Craig Sheffer), and her confidant Scotty (Jason Brooks), a U.S. State Department representative, are caught in a deadly game of survival. Their lives, and the lives of every passenger, hang in the balance as a turbulent storm releases the bees, threatening a potential airborne massacre. Trapped tens of thousands of feet in the air, they must navigate danger and deceit at every turn, while a city of millions lies oblivious below.
