Flying Devils (1933)

At the heart of a daredevil flying-circus troupe, driven by barnstorming pilots, resides the brave Anny Hardy, an audacious parachute-stunt diver. Guiding the reins of this high-risk spectacle is her husband, "Speed" Hardy. A twist of fate introduces Anny to Bud Murray, the younger sibling of "Ace" Murray, her husband's loyal partner. The duo find themselves tethered by an irresistible attraction, kindled when they are paired for a thrilling double-parachute jump, a spectacle that is part of their daily stunt routine. However, their clandestine romance doesn't go unnoticed. "Speed", bearing the scars of a World War I incident that has left him slightly unhinged, discovers their secret. Consumed by jealousy and a thirst for revenge, "Speed" hatches an intricate scheme to eliminate Bud. He convinces Bud to undertake a highly sensational stunt involving their planes charging head-on, with a last-minute parachute escape just before an inevitable crash. Unbeknownst to Bud, "Speed" has a sinister twist in the plot; he sabotages Bud's parachute, cutting its lines and setting the stage for a deadly finale. The suspense unfolds as we await the heart-stopping spectacle, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats, questioning the fate of the unsuspecting Bud.
