Flashdance (1983)

Alex Owens has two very different jobs: she is both a steel welder and an exotic dancer at the Mawby's club. Alex dreams of legitimizing her work as a dancer by training at the Pittsburgh Conservatory of Dance and Repertory. She's just not sure she will fit in, given how formal the school is. Alex's boyfriend Nick Hurley, who just so happens to own the steel mill, tries to help Alex overcome her doubts.
