Plot

In the heart of American governance, President Jonathan Hayes places unwavering trust in the atypical methods of Secret Service agent Alex McGregor. The unconventional agent's position is on the line after a failed assassination attempt on the President, igniting suspicion and doubt among her superiors. Unperturbed by the looming threat of internal investigation and probable dishonorable discharge, Alex finds herself assigned to a seemingly simple task - to chaperone the President's rebellious and spoiled teenage daughter, Jess. When Jess voices her longing for an ordinary life, Alex and a couple of colleagues accompany her on a thrilling escape to Colorado for a camping and rafting adventure with regular teenagers. The trip takes an unexpected turn as Jess revels in her newfound freedom, flirtatiously engaging with Milo, a boy oblivious to her high-profile status. Alex, however, clashes with Grant Coleman, the group's chief guide and counselor, who finds her more obstinate than the President's headstrong daughter. The tension thickens when a rogue American militia group stumbles upon their location, and Jess becomes their unwitting target. Relying on her years of experience and White House's stringent rules on hostages - no negotiations, no concessions, and failure being non-negotiable - Alex must partner with Grant, a man she finds difficult to tolerate. The unlikely duo must navigate the treacherous waters of their professional rivalry and personal differences to locate Jess and ensure her safe return. A daunting task lies ahead; not just to save the First Daughter from her captors, but also to salvage Alex's reputation and career, all while the White House grapples with an unparalleled crisis.
