In the heart of a small town, teenaged Casey struggles with discontentment, yearning for something more than her mundane life at Krowne Donuts. In a fit of frustration, she flings coffee against the shop wall, inadvertently creating an image that uncannily resembles Jesus Christ. With a touch of manipulation, Casey fuels the illusion, transforming an ordinary splatter into a so-called miracle. As word spreads, the quiet donut shop morphs into a bustling hub of faith, drawing in throngs of believers, skeptics, and a relentless swarm of news media. Casey becomes the unexpected ringleader of this religious spectacle, her life intertwining with those around her in unexpected ways. Her strict, devoutly religious boss, her innocent and trusting boyfriend, and the skeptical local priest find their lives upheaved by the supposed miracle. However, the greatest impact is on Casey's father, who is drowning under the weight of a family tragedy, neglecting his responsibilities and slowly letting his life crumble. Casey hopes her artificial miracle could serve as a wake-up call for her father, a divine intervention to bring him back to life. But as the hoax spirals out of control, the outcomes are far from what Casey had envisioned, leading her down a path of unforeseen consequences and revelations.
