Extremities (1986)

In the shimmering city of Los Angeles, the stunning Marjorie's ordinary late-night quest for ice-cream in a deserted parking area transforms into a horrifying nightmare when an anonymous assailant, veiled behind a mask, attempts to violate her innocence with a chilling blade. Miraculously, Marjorie escapes, but leaves behind her purse, a breadcrumb for her predator. Shaken, she reports the traumatic incident to the police, but her pleas fall on deaf ears, their indifference echoing the grim reality — it's her word against his, and she lacks tangible proof. Days later, her worst fears come to life when the attacker, a sadistic brute named Joe, invades her sanctuary while her roommates, Patricia and Terry, are away. A cat-and-mouse game ensues, with Joe subjecting Marjorie to a harrowing parade of abuses, his intent clear — to finish what he started. But in a moment of desperate courage, Marjorie turns the tables, blinding Joe with a can of insecticide and binding him in his own web of terror. Marjorie contemplates a drastic measure — to bury Joe alive in her garden, an eternal prison for the monster who threatened her life, as she believes the law would fail her again. But the unexpected return of Patricia and Terry complicates matters. They urge her to consider the repercussions of her plan and insist on involving the police.
