Encino Man (1992)

In the sun-soaked suburban realm of Encino, California, two high school misfits, Dave Morgan and Stoney Brown, embark on a backyard excavation to build a swimming pool. Their shovels plunge through the earth, unearthing a crystalline block of ice encapsulating a relic from the Ice Ages - a genuine caveman they name Link. As they chip away at the ice, they release Link from his millennia-long slumber, introducing him to the eccentricities of the 20th-century life. Link, though initially bewildered, gradually adapts to the unfamiliar world, his primitive charm and raw charisma unexpectedly capturing the fascination of their peers, especially the ladies. In a wild twist of fate, Dave and Stoney, under Link's unintentional influence, find themselves ascending the social ladder, their popularity skyrocketing. The newfound attention, however, stirs the ire of Matt Wilson, the school's reigning alpha male, who has a bone to pick with the duo for intriguing his girlfriend, Robyn Sweeney. When Matt stumbles upon Link's extraordinary origins, he is left with a tantalizing question: will anyone believe his outlandish claim that their newfound heartthrob is a man from the Ice Ages?
