Elephant Sighs (2012)

In the quaint simplicity of a small rural town, Joel Bixby (John Cariani of Showtime, Kissing Jessica Stein fame), a city slicker with an uptight demeanor, finds himself starting anew. His life takes an unexpected turn when a friendly local invites him to join an eccentric group of men whose meetings take place in a rustic, out-of-the-way room. Initially reluctant, Joel is drawn into their world by the infectious energy of Leo Applegate (Edward Asner of Up, Elf, TV's Lou Grant and The Mary Tyler Moore Show), a vivacious fast-food enthusiast. Unbeknownst to Joel, he's stepping into the shoes of a beloved member who has passed away. As he delves deeper into the lives of the remaining members, he finds a mirror of his own lost state. Dink (Jack Kehler of Men in Black II, The Big Lebowski), a man in touch with his feminine side and deeply in love with his bald wife; Perry (David Wells of Basic Instinct, Starman, Beverly Hills Cop), a former minister wrestling with a faith crisis; and the fiery Nick (Mark Fite of Fight Club, Godzilla, Independence Day), who's seeking a miracle after losing his job and family. As Joel grows closer to these men, he uncovers their secret gathering purpose amidst their unraveling lives.
