"Eden" unfurls the poignant tale of Karine, a 30-year-old expectant mother, residing in the shadowy outskirts of vibrant Rio de Janeiro. Under the pastor's persuasive influence, Karine embarks on a mission to channel her grief into purpose, remembering her husband by joining the crusade 'Fatherless Children of the Baixada Fluminense'. The Baixada, notorious as one of Rio's most perilous districts, becomes the backdrop for her struggle. Yet, as she steps deeper into the church's folds, she finds herself ensnared in a complex labyrinth of religion and politics, of unwavering faith clashing with the intoxicating lure of power. Engulfed in this ambivalent world, Karine is left questioning the path to her redemption - does it lie within the sanctum of the church, or in the imminent birth of her son?
