In the heart of East LA's vibrant and tightly knit Latino community, we find Diego (René Alvarado), a closeted young man, dutifully helping his grandmother (Irene DeBari) maintain the family restaurant. His life is a delicate dance between familial ties and a clandestine relationship with Pablo (David Berón), another discreetly gay man. Diego yearns for more than the confines of his conservative neighborhood; he dreams of escaping to open an upscale restaurant and hopes to do it hand-in-hand with his lover, Pablo. However, Pablo's perspective on their relationship is starkly different, a fact glaringly underscored when Pablo begins dating Diego's Aunt Bianca (Gladise Jimenez).
