Plot

In the heart of Italy, a love-torn carpenter, Sergio, and a faded songbird, Sabrina, find solace in each other's arms. Bound by the shackles of their shared economic vulnerabilities, they're unable to break free from their current lives. Their world takes an unexpected twist when Sergio falls victim to a prank by his co-workers, leading him to believe he's struck gold with a 3-million-euro lottery win. Embracing his newfound 'wealth', Sergio boldly leaves his past behind, taking Sabrina and their families along for the ride. They embark on a whimsical journey from the rustic corners of Rome to the picturesque landscapes of Puglia, all while harbouring their secret. The illusion of their lottery fortune becomes the bedrock of their escapade, a lie they choose to keep from their unsuspecting families. But as the saying goes, truth has a way of surfacing. With a motley crew of characters in tow, their journey becomes a ticking time bomb of hidden realities and rising tensions. As the illusion of their wealth begins to crumble, the question remains: will their love survive the inevitable explosion? In "Dreamfools" (2018), love, deception, and dreams intertwine in an unforgettable Italian adventure.
