Plot

After a tragic accident claims the lives of his parents, young John McGowan embarks on a journey to Scotland to dwell in the ancient castle of his grandfather. Underneath the shade of a mystical wishing tree, he summons an unlikely companion - Yowler, a friendly dragon. As the years ebb away, their bond deepens, turning the castle grounds into a haven for their shared adventures. Their world, however, shifts when Bob Armstrong, a determined documentary filmmaker, and his curious daughter, Beth, discover Yowler's existence. Hungry for wealth and recognition, Bob persuades John to lease Yowler to Lester McIntyre, a local businessman with questionable ethics. The allure of settling the castle's crippling tax debts, coupled with his blossoming feelings for Beth, sway John into agreement. Yowler's enchanting life transforms into a miserable existence in the newly erected theme park designed for his exploitation. As the veil lifts from McIntyre's deception, John, spurred by newfound alliances, must navigate a path of courage and cunning to rescue his dragon friend. Dragonworld is a tale of friendship, bravery, and the pursuit of freedom against the backdrop of commercial exploitation.
