In the realm of glittering wealth and echoing loneliness, we find Karan Thapar (Bobby Deol), a man of opulent means yet starved of true companionship. His mansion, a fortress of solitude, houses his family who are too ensnared in their own lives to share time with him. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Raj Malhotra (Akshay Kumar), an orphan surviving in the harsh embrace of poverty, under the cruel authority of his abusive maternal uncle. Raj, with the sky as his roof and the ground as his bed, has only his heart's abundance to offer, but it is rich with love and longing for a family. The encounter at the Thapar family's farmhouse, where Raj rescues Karan from a near-fatal fall, sparks an unshakeable bond between the two contrasting souls. Choosing to leave Karan's life to seek his own path, Raj leaves behind a void filled only by Karan's newfound companion - alcohol.
