Plot

In the heart of France, Jeanne, a writer of historical events and biographies, is diving into the depths of her memories to craft her next novel. Married with two children, her life is a tapestry of joy and accomplishments, yet she has no recollections before the age of eight due to a car accident. Her narrative, her editor remarks, lacks warmth and emotion - a stark reminder of the void in her past. Gradually, unsettling changes begin to infiltrate her life. Her home, once familiar and comforting, starts to distort in her vision. Even more disconcerting, her body begins to transform, yet no one around her seems to notice. Dismissed as stress-induced hallucinations by her family, Jeanne feels an ineffable dread creeping in. Compelled by an inexplicable urge to understand these uncanny occurrences, she embarks on a journey to Italy. Along the way, she undergoes a startling metamorphosis into another Jeanne, a physical manifestation of her buried past. In Italy, a photograph at her mother's house propels her towards a mysterious woman named RosaMaria. As she ventures deeper into the labyrinth of her forgotten history, Jeanne unearths an unsettling secret. Her life, as she knew it, is upended as she confronts the shocking reality of her true identity. "Don't Look Back" is a haunting exploration of memory, identity, and the terrifying power of the past. The film weaves a gripping narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat, delving into the psyche of a woman grappling with changes that transcend the limits of reality.
