Plot

In the vibrant wild west town of Twin Wells, the enigmatic figure of "Wildcat" Kelly, a notorious highwayman, is said to be buried in the desolate outskirts. Toni Ames, a resourceful photojournalist from "Spread" magazine, is dispatched from the bustling streets of New York to unravel the truth behind the rumors of Wildcat's death. While investigating the mystery, Ames stumbles upon the R-Bar-R Dude Ranch, managed by Roy, and staffed by a seemingly harmless hand named Gabby. As she delves deeper into the shadows of the ranch, she uncovers a startling truth - Gabby is none other than Wildcat Kelly himself. Her explosive revelation, published in the magazine, triggers a chain of events that leads to Gabby being shot. Word spreads like wildfire that Gabby has succumbed to his wounds, and a funeral is arranged. Amidst the mourning and grief, a cunning plan is hatched. Toni, lurking near the casket, captures the faces of all attendees, helping Gabby identify the man who attempted to kill him. The hunt for Gabby's assailant leads them to the pulsating heart of the Westward Ho nightclub. Roy, with the Sons of the Pioneers, infiltrates the club as entertainers, aiming to locate and build a case against the gunman. Their plan takes an unexpected turn when the club's owner, Henry Bennett, is revealed as the puppet master behind the attack. Bennett, fearing exposure, sends his gunman into hiding, only to have him killed with Wildcat's gun. The plot thickens as it's revealed that Bennett, masquerading as Benson, had illegally claimed the reward for Wildcat's capture, and had murdered a man who could link him to the crime. He had the man's body buried in Wildcat's coffin, which was filled with sand instead of Wildcat's body. As the truth surfaces, it becomes evident that Wildcat Kelly was never killed. He was merely playing dead to evade prosecution for his past crimes. In a dramatic climax, Gabby is exonerated, and Bennett is convicted of murder. His club is seized, auctioned, and bought by Roy, bringing full circle to a tale of deceit, survival, and justice in the wild, wild west.
