Dog Eat Dog (2018)

In a moment of clarity, Silje abandons her romantic relationship with Thomas, only to be drawn back to their shared apartment by the forgotten tether of her cellphone. A grim discovery awaits her - Thomas, swaying lifelessly from a chandelier with a noose around his neck. A hospital encounter later unveils a tragic misunderstanding; Thomas mistook Silje's return as remorse, not the retrieval of her electronic device. Trapped in the web of Thomas's misconstrued reality, Silje finds herself playing along with his twisted version of events. The ensuing day was marked for a tranquil retreat to a family cabin, a trip planned with Thomas's brother Erik and his girlfriend Kathrine. As Thomas weaves a web of deceit about his physical injuries, the group sees no reason to abandon their planned getaway. Stranded on a remote island, far removed from the comforts of society, tensions start to simmer amongst the quartet. Silje now stands on the precipice, grappling with the challenge of unravelling the truth about Thomas's near-death experience. This is her gambit to extricate herself from the toxic relationship once more. Amidst the wilderness, the stark reality of their lives hangs heavier than ever, as the lies thicken and the truth struggles to surface.
