Disappearance (2019)

Famed author George Boulangé, succumbing to the whims of his wife, Isabelle, unexpectedly invites Cecile, a young, stunning waitress from a local café, on their weekend sailing excursion. However, it soon becomes horribly evident that George's motivations are not as innocent as they seem. His aim is to ignite a spark of chaos, craft a tantalizing storyline for his next novel, and ultimately, discard the aging Isabelle to replace her with the youthful Cecile. Faced with the bitter truth of her diminishing allure in George's eyes, Isabelle knows she must reclaim her hold on her marriage by asserting dominance. A fierce battle of wits ensues as George retaliates, leading them into a twisted game of one-upmanship. In an unexpected turn of events, the trio - Isabelle, Cecile, and the ship's seasoned Captain - unite against George, asserting their stance unequivocally. By morning, George has mysteriously vanished. Enter Detective Kenny Park, tasked with untangling the web of conflicting stories to determine whether foul play was involved or if George merely sought fresher pastures.
