Diljale (1996)

In the heartland of India, a young man named Shyam, brought up under the stern yet patriotic guidance of his father, cherishes the values of his nation. Living a simple life with his mother, he finds solace and love in the company of Radhika, the only offspring of the influential Rajasaheb. However, this tender romance incites the fury of Rajasaheb, who conspires with the crooked Inspector Yajwendra to shatter Shyam's world. With his father cruelly murdered and framed as a terrorist, Shyam finds himself incarcerated and at the mercy of a corrupt system. In a daring move, Shyam escapes, only to find himself hunted by the relentless police force. His salvation comes in the form of Dara, a seasoned terrorist, who not only rescues him but inducts him into his gang, rebranding him as Shaka. His life now revolves around a singular objective - to settle scores with those who have wronged him. Meanwhile, Captain Ranvir, a dedicated officer from the Indian army, is entrusted with the mission of capturing the notorious terrorists Shaka and Dara. His assignment leads him to the region where he crosses paths with Radhika. A whirlwind romance ensues, and they find themselves on the brink of matrimony, sanctioned by the approving Rajasaheb. Yet, as he discovers the connection between his beloved and his fugitive, Ranvir is torn. The engagement is put on hold as he commits to apprehend Shaka before walking down the aisle. This decision plunges Ranvir into a deadly game of cat and mouse, not only against well-armed terrorists but also culminates in a tense hostage situation involving a bus full of innocent pilgrims, including Radhika and her aunt. The stage is set for a thrilling confrontation as the lines blur between love, duty, and revenge in the face of relentless adversity.
