In the vibrant and tumultuous landscape of northern India, journalist Amar Varma is dispatched from New Delhi for a temporary assignment with All India Radio. As he delves into the chaotic world of an illegally formed separatist movement, his life intertwines with the enigmatic Meghna, a village woman with weary, melancholic eyes that speak of a laughter lost since the tender age of eight.
