Devil Hunter (1980)

In the oppressive aftermath of World War 2, the defeated Japanese officials and their acolytes meet a grim fate in China, their final resting place sealed under layers of earth and history. However, the venomous Nine Chrysanthemum, a sect of Japanese malevolence, vow vengeance, secretly spinning a web of conspiracy against China. In the heart of this brewing storm stand two unlikely heroes: Captain Li, a diligent Chinese police officer, and Mao Yuan Feng, a sagacious Taoist master. Together, they unearth the malignant plot before it can fully bloom, striking down several members of the Nine Chrysanthemums, their blood staining the ground. But death only fuels the vengeance of these malevolent spirits. Using their spilt blood as a dark channel, the fallen members are summoned from the abyss of Hell, reborn as the menacing Devil Masters. As they resume their plot, their Imperialist ambitions threatening to shroud China in darkness once more, Captain Li and Master Mao Yuan Feng rise to challenge them. In a climactic battle where the stakes are as high as ever, the duo confronts the Devil Masters, their courage and wit against the reincarnated hatred of their foes.
