Plot

In the year 1992, the seemingly stable and grounded Peter Collins, a respected real estate agent from Seattle, suddenly departs from his office at Regal Realty, leaving behind a life that includes his wife, Annah Collins, and his young daughter, Samantha Collins. His unexpected departure, however, isn't for a casual trip but a journey into oblivion with a plan to end his life. Before leaving, Peter records a resignation video for his boss, Don, who later shares it with the perplexed Annah. Unable to comprehend Peter's abrupt desire to vanish, Annah is left in a state of bewilderment. All the while, Peter maintains a video diary that paints a poignant picture of his emotional turmoil, rather than providing clear reasons for his drastic decision. As Peter's journey takes him into the vast expanses of the Nevada desert, his diary becomes a haunting echo of his inner struggles. Back home, Annah embarks on a quest to understand Peter's sudden departure, sifting through his belongings for any hint of his whereabouts. Hiring a private investigator, Duran Palouse, she hopes to trace her husband's steps. But Duran's task is far from simple. Even if he finds Peter, he cannot compel him to return home or prevent him from following through his tragic intentions. The movie is a suspenseful exploration of a man's emotional journey and the loved ones left in his wake, struggling to make sense of his actions.
