Denial (2016)

Deborah E. Lipstadt is renowned as both a historian and a writer, but she finds herself in the incredulous position of having to defend her sense of truth when she's sued for libel by a Holocaust denier. The peculiarities of the British legal system make the case on Lipstadt's behalf a tricky one. With the burden of proof on her to demonstrate that libel didn't occur, she'll need to prove that the Holocaust actually happened. In an environment where tenuous lies are often held up as fact, they'll need to make a convincing argument for something that should never need to be proven.
