In the tumultuous era of Prohibition, the shadowy underbelly of 1930's Chicago is rife with treachery. Mick Nich, a notorious gangster, double-crosses his own bootlegging crew, leaving them in the unforgiving hands of the law. The betrayed mob, thirsty for revenge, employs Johnny Pollack - the most ruthless hitman in the windy city - to hunt down the traitor who has fled to the unfamiliar territories of Odessa, USSR.
