Plot

In the riveting thriller "Deep in the Forest" (2021), a band of progressives, caught in the throes of a looming civil war, find sanctuary within the secluded confines of a distant ski lodge. This near-future America is teetering on the edge of chaos, as the ideological divide between the Left and the Right threatens to cleave the nation apart. Yet, as the group navigates the chill of their alpine hideaway, they quickly discover that the threat isn't solely from the outside world. Akin to the Russian proverb, "One meets no friends deep in the forest," the lodge becomes a chilling echo chamber for suspicion and paranoia. The group is plunged into a crucible of tension, as each member is compelled to confront the timeless question of allegiance: "Which side are you on?" "Deep in the Forest" is a tale of survival, not just against external enemies, but against the insidious dangers lurking within their own ranks. It's a stark reminder that in the dance of ideologies, the most perilous steps are often those taken in the shadows of trust and camaraderie.
