Plot

For two decades, Frank Harrington has reluctantly carted his family off to celebrate Christmas with his less-than-favorable mother-in-law. This year, weary of the routine and seeking a change, he ventures off the beaten path and takes an unfamiliar shortcut. This seemingly innocent decision spirals into the most regrettable choice he's ever made as it ushers in a bone-chilling nightmare. They find themselves on a desolate road, hauntingly void of life, stretching endlessly into the heart of darkness. Not a single house, store, or divergence interrupts its eerie monotony. Each road sign they pass frustratingly leads them to nowhere, and the same landscapes repeat like a broken record, amplifying their sense of dread and desolation. A spectral woman in white wanders aimlessly through the encompassing forest, her spectral presence leaving a chilling trail of death in her wake. A sinister black car haunts their journey, its driver an unseen phantom, silently ferrying the unfortunate victims into the abyss of the night. Stranded in this existential no man's land, any attempt to escape on foot through the cryptic woods only leads them back to their car, trapped in an unending loop of terror. As their circumstances grow dire, the family unravels. Fear mutates into madness, and deeply buried secrets claw their way to the surface. The joyous spirit of Christmas morphs into a living nightmare, their celebration giving way to a battle for survival. As they're picked off one by one, their hope dwindles, and the realization seeps in—there might be no escape from this dead end.
