In the tumultuous year of 1916, amidst the throbbing heart of Chicago, a laborer named Bill finds himself caught in a fierce altercation with his mill foreman. Fueled by this bitter conflict, Bill, alongside his girlfriend Abby, masquerading as his sister, and his young sibling Linda, make the momentous decision to abandon their gritty urban life.
