Plot

In the anarchic satire of "Daisies" (1966), we follow the chaotic journey of two teenage girls, both coincidentally named Marie. Driven by the perception that their world is irreparably spoiled, they resolve to mirror its decadence in their own way. This dynamic duo, one a vivacious blonde and the other a fiery brunette, pledge to revel in spoilage too, adopting a life motto that nothing is bad as long as it's fun. Engaging in a series of audacious pranks, they lure innocent older men into their web, living off their wallets whilst basking in the lavish meals that come with their antics. Their wild exploits are a whirlwind of gluttony and destruction, as they audaciously consume and recklessly obliterate their surroundings. This unfettered, high-spirited feminist farce dabbles in the outrageous, only to be met with immediate censorship by the government. Yet, amidst the revelry and wreckage, one can't help but ponder, where is all this leading? In "Daisies," the world is their playground, but what happens when the games go too far? This film promises a wild ride that teeters on the edge of unbridled fun and absolute chaos.
