In the heart of France's Surete, panic ensues when the legendary Inspector Clouseau mysteriously vanishes in his pursuit of the elusive Pink Panther diamond. A plan is hatched to find a detective as deft and determined as Clouseau himself to unravel this sudden enigma. However, Chief Inspector Dreyfus, Clouseau's arch-rival, sees an opportunity to manipulate the situation to his advantage. With the stealth of a fox and the cunning of a wolf, Dreyfus rigs the Surete's state-of-the-art computer system, which is tasked with selecting the world's second-best detective.
