Plot

In the high-stakes world of advertising, Emory Leeson, a once brilliant but now unraveling executive, is teetering on the edge of sanity. His unconventional brainchild - the idea that brutal honesty should be the backbone of advertising - is met with disdain by his boss. Emory's offbeat slogans such as "Volvos. Yes, they're boxy but they're safe" are considered ludicrous. In a desperate move to save the business, his boss sends Emory to a psychiatric hospital to 'recover'. While Emory navigates the labyrinth of his mind within the hospital, a twist of fate occurs. Back at the office, his discarded honest ads are mistakenly sent to the printers. Shockingly, his unfiltered honesty resonates with consumers, and his ads become a runaway success, breathing new life into his stalling career. Amid the chaos, Emory finds an unexpected kindred spirit in Kathy, a fellow patient at the hospital. As his professional life takes an unforeseen turn, so does his personal life, as he finds himself unwilling to leave the sanctuary of the hospital and Kathy's side. 'Crazy People' is a roller coaster of a tale, interweaving the cutthroat world of advertising with the poignant journey of a man grappling with his own sanity, while discovering that sometimes, honesty really is the best policy.
