Plot

In the heart of Manhattan, within the confines of a luxurious penthouse, lives the enigmatic heiress Abigail Clayton. She is the epitome of solitude, her world limited to the four walls of her apartment for nearly two decades. Abigail, the famous offspring of a wealthy industrial titan, voluntarily vanished from the scrutinizing gaze of the media and the overbearing clutches of her own family on her 18th birthday - the day she became the sole beneficiary of an enormous fortune. Abigail's self-imposed isolation has seen her interact with only two individuals for most of her life - the building's concierge, Klandermann, through a fascinating exchange of notes, and the long-standing family ally, Dr. Raymond Fontaine, who serves as her only true confidant. She has successfully maintained her world of solitude until the unsettling death of an elderly neighbor shatters her tranquility. Detective Frank Giardello of the NYPD Homicide Division is assigned to the case, his investigation leading him to Abigail's doorstep. This unexpected intrusion unnerves the agoraphobic Abigail, who had hoped to expand her quiet fortress by acquiring her deceased neighbor's vacant apartment. Her already fragile world is thrown into further turmoil when her requests fall on deaf ears, and new tenants, Lillian and Charlie, move in instead. From the safety of her peephole, Abigail anxiously observes the newcomers, her sanctuary threatened in ways she had never anticipated. Her well-ordered universe begins to crumble when she is compelled to confront Lillian and Charlie face-to-face, sparking a series of unexpected and terrifying events. Columbus Circle is a riveting tale of one woman's struggle against her own fears, her life teetering on the edge of an abyss as she battles to preserve the seclusion she so fiercely guards.
