Plot

In the quiet, forgotten town of Lytton, home of the legendary Gold Rush Days, resides a young man named Cole Chambers. He's a pillar of strength amidst the ruins of his disjointed family, a guardian angel to his six-year-old nephew, and the caretaker of his brain-damaged mother. His dreams are stifled by the relentless burden of responsibilities, and the relentless monotony of his life, encapsulated within the walls of a family gas station. But the winds of change begin to stir when a unique opportunity presents itself. A creative writing class in the bustling city, far removed from the confines of Lytton, offers Cole a glimpse of the life he yearns for. He embarks on this journey, hoping to mold his dreams into reality. In this new world, he finds himself entwined in a rich tapestry of experiences and emotions, notably falling for the affluent Serafina from his class. However, as Cole's presence in Lytton dwindles, the structures he painstakingly built start to crumble. The guilt of abandoning his family gnaws at his conscience, compelling him to return. But the consequences of his choices follow him home in the form of Serafina, whose unexpected visit sets off a domino effect of heartrending events that forever alter the face of Lytton. "Cole" is a poignant story of dreams, guilt, and the harsh realities of life, set against the backdrop of a small town's struggle with change. It's a tale of a young man's quest to escape his past and the profound consequences his journey has on those he leaves behind.
