Dr. Peña, a dedicated cryptozoologist played by Giancarlo Esposito, has dedicated his life to the pursuit of the legendary South American beast, the Chupacabra. After a relentless chase, he succeeds in trapping this mythical bloodsucker on a remote Caribbean island. In an audacious gambit to etch his name into the annals of the scientific community, Peña smuggles the creature onto the opulent ocean liner, the Regent Queen. Under the command of the sturdy and seasoned Captain Randolph, portrayed by John Rhys-Davies, the ship embarks on its voyage, oblivious to the terror lurking within its cargo hold.
