Chump Change chronicles the comical and often absurd journey of Steve Burrows, better known as "Milwaukee Steve," an aspirational character whose life mirrors the rollercoaster ride of Hollywood's fame and fortune. A humble Midwesterner, Steve becomes an overnight sensation as the face of the "Crotch Fresh" commercials, catapulting him into the unpredictable world of Los Angeles. In a desperate bid to reclaim his glory, he concocts a bizarre plan to fake his own death and make a triumphant return. But before his grand plan comes to fruition, he finds himself in the crosshairs of legal woes with the Merv Griffin Corp, following a notorious stint on "Wheel of Fortune." Steve finds solace in the company of his mother's tenant, Sam, a beautiful and fiery woman. As he recounts his Hollywood escapades to Sam, they embark on a whimsical journey through the snowy expanse and quirky charm of Wisconsin.
