Chotoder Chobi (2015)

In the vibrant, yet perilous world of the circus, Shibu, a skilled trapeze artist, finds his life tragically altered after a devastating accident leaves him bedridden. His fellow performers, rife with frustration, condemn the callous circus manager for only providing a meager Rs. 15,000 compensation to the beleaguered family. Yet, they find themselves helpless, shackled to the circus as their sole source of livelihood. Among them, Khoka (Dulal Sarkar), Shibu's loyal friend, is deeply stirred by the plight of the family. He dares to challenge the manager's indifference, sacrificing his own job in the process. Subsequently, Khoka becomes the pillar of strength for Shibu's family - his wife and daughter Soma (Debalina Roy). As they grapple with mounting debt, the crushing weight of poverty and society's cold disregard, the narrative takes a dramatic turn. Khoka, amidst the chaos, finds himself gradually succumbing to the enchanting allure of Soma. "Chotoder Chobi" is a poignant tale of struggle, defiance, and a delicate love that blooms amidst adversity.
